Arachova

If you are a ski lover, the Parnassos ski centre is approximately 30 minutes away from the village and has 19 ski runs. If you’re not a sports fan, there are several chalets around the snowy mountain where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as well as delicious traditional food flavours. Kalavrita

Kalavrita is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Wonder around little stone pathways, discover hidden treasures in the small shops around the central square, and visit some of the historic landmarks around the area. Nafplio

One of the things you must do, is climb Palamidi, the fortress with 999 steps, which was built by Venetians during their second occupation of the area. Once you reach the top, you’ll enjoy the wonderful view of the Aegean sea as well as the water castle of ‘Bourtzi’, located in the middle of the harbour and also built by Venetians. One of the local specialties you must try are traditional ‘loukoumades’ which can be found in several shops around the main square.

Trikala Korinthias

This small village is located approximately 90 minutes away from Athens, and is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend, away from the crowd of the capital. Its magical nature scenery is where you’ll make so many memories, and the little local taverns, is where you’ll taste some of the best food you’ll ever have. Before leaving, try a slice or two of ‘galaktoboureko’, a delicious filo dessert filled with custard and drizzled with honey.
